Solstice is developing a new treatment for the most common form of colon cancer, which has largely resisted immunotherapy. Its lead drug, porustobart, is a third-generation antibody targeting CTLA-4 with a number of design features to improve both efficacy and tolerability. In addition to the innovation behind porustobart’s design, Solstice’s strategy to administer the product briefly before surgery, while the tumor is still present and the cancer remains localized, offers the greatest impact on improving overall survival. Solstice aims to improve the chances that patients remain cancer-free.
