Brendan leads our Fintech practice, where he’s focused since he joined Canaan in 2010. He invests in fintech infrastructure and platform companies as well as fintech product companies that use technology to drive true operational leverage. He built Canaan’s investment thesis in insurance. Previously, Brendan was a senior quantitative analyst at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. He holds an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business, an M.S. in Computer Science from Brown University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Bowdoin College.
